Empowering Girls for Over 100 Years

Welcome to Girlguiding UK at Christ Church!

Girlguiding UK is the largest voluntary organization for girls and young women in the UK, boasting approximately 500,000 members aged 5 to 25. We are proud to offer this incredible opportunity to every girl and young woman who wishes to join, fostering growth, development, and lifelong friendships.

Our Legacy

Our troop holds the distinguished honor of being the oldest in the Sowerby Bridge area, with a rich history spanning over 100 years. We are committed to continuing this legacy of empowerment, adventure, and community service.

Sections and Meeting Times

Girlguiding is delivered in three distinct sections to cater to different age groups, ensuring age-appropriate activities and learning experiences:

Rainbows (Ages 4 & 6)
Meeting Time: Monday, 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Brownies (Ages 7 - 10)
Meeting Time: Monday, 6:15 PM - 7:15 PM

Guides (Ages 10 - 14)
Meeting Time: Monday, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Location

Our Girlguiding meetings are held at Christ Church Junior School on Park Road during term time only.
