History Talks - 9th May 2026 500 Years Journey of Faith
Join us for a fascinating evening as we explore the rich and remarkable story of Christian worship in Sowerby Bridge, spanning five centuries.
This special talk, presented by Peter Henry, will trace our shared history from the early days of the Old Brig Chapel in 1526—situated by the river—to the present-day life of Christ Church. Along the way, we’ll uncover stories, milestones, and moments that have shaped our church and community over 500 years.
As part of our 500th anniversary celebrations, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about our heritage, reflect on those who have gone before us, and discover how the past continues to shape our future.
