Balloon Race 2024: A High-Flying Success!
The annual Balloon Race has come to a thrilling conclusion, and what an incredible event it was! We’re excited to announce this year’s winner: William, whose balloon, williamwilkins1, soared to victory after covering a remarkable 23,545 kilometers during the 11-day race. It was a close competition, but williamwilkins1’s altitude and endurance earned William a well-deserved £25 voucher of his choice. A huge congratulations to William!
In last place, but with a truly impressive effort, was Drake, owned by Jacqui Towler. Drake’s balloon journeyed a commendable 23,470 kilometers, proving that even at the back of the pack, the race remained competitive and fun right to the finish.
We would like to extend a massive thank you to all 79 participants in this year’s Balloon Race. Your enthusiasm and creativity made this event soar to new heights! From the fastest balloons to the most unique designs, everyone’s involvement helped make the 2024 Balloon Race one to remember. Whether you raced or simply cheered along, your support brought joy to the entire community.
