Welcome to
Christ Church, Sowerby Bridge

Our main Sunday service starts at 10.30am

Join us each Sunday at 10:30 am for our Communion Service, a time of worship and reflection where we come together as a community to celebrate our faith. During this service, our Junior Church also meets, providing a vibrant and engaging environment for our younger members to learn and grow in their own spiritual journey.  Followed by a time to grab a coffee and chat. They tend to last just over an hour. You will be made very welcome.

Christmas at Christ Church: A Season of Reflection, Community, and Connection

This Christmas season, Christ Church celebrated in new and meaningful ways, not only with our local community but also by reaching a global audience through our first-ever live streaming of services. From our bustling Christmas Fair at the start of December to the deeply spiritual services throughout the month, our church has been a place of joy, reflection, and innovation, bringing the message of Christmas to those who couldn’t attend in person.

Dedication of Altar Frontal and Nine Lessons and Carols Service Brings Together

On Thursday, 19th December, Christ Church was filled with warmth, reflection, and community spirit during our annual Service of Nine Lessons and Carols, where we also witnessed the dedication of our beautiful new purple altar frontal. The frontal was generously donated in loving memory of two remarkable women, Brenda Dyson and Margaret Pickles, both of whom faithfully served Christ Church for many years as members of the Christ Church Mothers' Union and the church choir.
